What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They are used to remember preferences, keep a site working correctly, and understand how a site is being used. Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — do comparable things, and we treat them the same way in this policy.

What we use

We keep this to a minimum. This site does not require you to log in, and we do not set cookies to build an advertising profile of you.

The cookies and similar technologies on this site fall into three groups:

• Strictly necessary — a small number of cookies needed to serve the site securely and remember basic display choices. The site does not work properly without them.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*, lasting up to two years) that give your browser a random identifier. We have configured it so that the care-type and location selections you can make on this site are stripped out before anything is sent to Google, so a health interest is not reported alongside your visit. We do not enable Google Ads features or advertising personalization on this property.
• Embedded content — some pages include content served by other companies, and that content can set its own cookies once it loads. This applies to the Google Maps location map, embedded YouTube videos (loaded through youtube-nocookie.com, and only after you click play), embedded Typeform self-assessments, and the Google reviews widget on our reviews page.

When you submit a form on this site, the submission is delivered to the practice through a third-party form service. That is a one-time transmission of what you typed, not ongoing tracking.

What we do not do

• We do not sell information collected through cookies.
• We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this website.
• We do not use anything you view on this site to target health-related advertising to you.
• We do not use cookies to identify you personally as a patient. Your patient records live in our secure patient portal and electronic health record, not in this website’s cookies.

How to control cookies

• Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and block third-party cookies specifically. Look under Privacy or Security in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may break embedded maps, videos and forms.
• Google Analytics opt-out — you can install Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to stop Analytics on every site you visit.
• Private browsing — using a private or incognito window clears cookies when you close it.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, note that there is still no common industry standard for how sites must respond to Do Not Track, so we do not currently change site behavior based on it.

Changes and questions

If we add or remove a tool that uses cookies, we will update this page and the effective date at the top of it.
